Welcome to Koolmundoola Appaloosas

Koolmundoola Appaloosa Stud was established in 1971 by Appaloosa enthusiast John Kosch. Over the years Koolmundoola became one of the oldest Appaloosa studs in Australia. The stud was purchased and  managed by Ian Shaw and Laina De Winne.

The Koolmundoola Appaloosas are renowned for their verstility and the stud has produced some exceptional horses over the years that have competed in many disciplines. People continually comment on how stunningly beautiful; and how gentle and  easy to handle and train, the Koolmundoola Appaloosa horses are. Focus has changed from breeding to education and training of both horses and their owners.
